  2. I have a two part response. In my work life I have to agree with the majority here. With the cultural shift of the work force we now spend more time managing our emails than answering phones. On a personal note, your post on taking the high road is my favorite. Great message for anyone!

  3. @abigailgorton Great! If you ever think of another resource list you could use, let me know.

@bill Yes, much more time is spent on email: reading, replying, organizing, etc. It can easily get out of hand and take double the time it should to keep everything organized. I hope you found the email-related posts helpful.

Obviously, The High Road-Less Traveled post is based on personal experience and I know it can be challenging to stay away from toxic people especially if they are family members. I wanted to share the mindset and tips I used to successfully do it, and most importantly do it from a place of peace. If it's done out of anger, peace can't be attained until the person works through the anger, not avoid it or walk around it. Thank you for your feedback!

  4. I loved your post on The High Road - Less Traveled? Every point you made seemed to resonate with my own experiences. You are right when you say that at least at work it's more black and white and so your decision is easy...

  5. @GazallaGaya When I knew it was time to move on from a job, it was easier in the respect that it was an employer versus a friend or family member, so personal ties didn't come into play. However, I wouldn't say it was easy because there was still an emotional toll associated with it.

I'm sorry to hear you have had similar experiences. As you are aware, when you are going through it and know the time is coming when you need to walk away, you are flooded with feelings such as sadness, disappointment, hurt and confusion. Yet after the decision, peace joins those feelings because you know it was the right thing to do.

Stay true to yourself and live authentically no matter what. I wish you the very best!
